In most cases yes. While small compact ellipticals can sometimes be moved in one piece, most standard and commercial ellipticals should be partially disassembled. This makes weight distribution safer, allows fragile consoles to be properly protected, makes doorways and staircases much easier to navigate, and reduces risk of damage to your property. Our technicians disassemble only what is necessary based on your specific model and situation.
Most elliptical moves are completed in 2 to 4 hours including disassembly (30 to 60 minutes depending on model complexity), transport preparation, loading and unloading, reassembly (45 to 90 minutes), and testing. Commercial ellipticals and more complex models may require additional time. We will give you an accurate time estimate when you book.
Yes. We regularly move ellipticals to and from upper floors and basements. We disassemble the elliptical into manageable components, use specialized stair-climbing equipment for heavier pieces, apply proper team lifting techniques, and protect stair surfaces, walls, and railings throughout the move.
Front-drive ellipticals typically have a more compact footprint and may fold for easier transport. Rear-drive ellipticals like the Precor EFX are often larger and heavier with more complex disassembly. Center-drive ellipticals have the most compact footprint but unique structural needs. Yes. We provide professional assembly for new ellipticals delivered in boxes or crates including unboxing and organizing all components, frame and stabilizer assembly, drive system installation, console mounting and setup, leveling and calibration, and complete function testing. Proper initial setup is critical — incorrect assembly can cause uneven wear, noise, or safety issues.
We carry comprehensive insurance specifically designed for fitness equipment including high-value commercial ellipticals from Precor, Life Fitness, Technogym, and other premium brands. In the rare event of damage we handle the claims process directly and resolve issues promptly. Our careful procedures make damage extremely rare — but your investment is fully protected.
